A superb opportunity has arisen to work for our client either from their Epsom or Horley office, on a hybrid basis (after training). The purpose of this role is to be part of the team responsible for tracking energy meters. You will maintain the meter ‘asset’ data that underpins their portfolio, while helping resolve enquiries that come in from their fantastic customers and colleagues.  It is an exciting time to join the team – right at the start of a push for growth in existing services and into several new areas, such as electric vehicle charging points and net zero road mapping. 

To be successful, you will be comfortable leading a small team, working with data and MS Excel, proactive in looking for ways to improve performance, as well as customer focused. Of course, it will also help if you’re passionate about the environment and helping people save on their energy costs!

Responsibilities & Accountabilities in brief:

  • Build and lead a high performing meter asset management team capable of exceeding all KPIs
  • Monitor performance across the team and make data driven decisions to improve output and maximise the cost effectiveness of the team.
  • Develop and motivate a high performing team, responsible for the maintenance of our meter 
  • asset data.
  • Monitor processes and systems, to identify pay points – then propose and implement cost effective solutions to fix them.
  • Maintain our meters’ data to ensure we maximise their life and value
  • Ensure Gas and Electricity metering databases and registers are up to date and accurate.
  • Perform routine reconciliations against information held in industry databases, problem solving any mismatches that arise.
  • Assist in the production of routine departmental KPI reports and Management Information for the senior management team.
