Senior Supply Planner

Location: Reigate, Surrey
Reports to: Head of Procurement

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Senior Supply Planner to join our dynamic Procurement team. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing high-quality products from global suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring supply plans align with customer demand, stock availability, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Sourcing & Supply Planning
    Identify, evaluate, and source products that meet customer specifications while balancing cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.
  • Supplier Negotiation & Commercial Management
    Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules, supporting long-term supply stability.
  • Ethical & Sustainable Sourcing Compliance
    Ensure all sourcing and supply activities comply with ethical, legal, and sustainability standards in line with company policies.
  • Logistics, Imports & Quality Coordination
    Work closely with logistics partners to manage international shipping, customs processes, and delivery performance, supporting quality control where required.
  • Tender & Pricing Support
    Manage customer tenders and support Sales & Marketing with accurate pricing, cost models, product data, and market insights.
  • Order & Documentation Management
    Manage all associated administration through the order processing system, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and full written documentation in line with company requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner closely with Demand Planning and Operations teams to ensure stock availability, supply alignment, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Development
    Continuously research, onboard, and engage new suppliers to drive improvements in cost efficiency, quality, resilience, and lead times.
  • Customer & Brand Understanding
    Build a strong understanding of customer brands, requirements, and service expectations to ensure supply plans support business growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a buying, supply planning, or procurement role (food industry experience preferred)
  • Strong commercial mindset with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • Tenacious and results-driven, with a strong determination to succeed
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent time management, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of international shipping, duties, and import processes is advantageous
  • Highly competent with IT systems and spreadsheets
  • French or Spanish beneficial but not essential

Remuneration Package

  • Competitive salary: £42k
  • Discretionary bonus and EOT bonus
