Senior Buyer – Procurement
Location: Reigate, Surrey
Reports to: Head of Procurement
Salary: up £60k and benefits

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Buyer/Senior Buyer to join our dynamic Procurement
team. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing high-quality
products from worldwide suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring we meet our
customers' needs efficiently and ethically. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to make
a significant impact in an international, fast-paced environment. Must have excellent administration and
communication skills and be commercial in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:
• Product Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and source products that meet customer specifications,
while ensuring the best price, quality, and lead time.
• Supplier Negotiations: Leverage your negotiation skills to secure the most favourable terms
(price, payment terms, delivery schedules) from suppliers.
• Ethical Sourcing Compliance: Ensure compliance with the company’s ethical sourcing policies
to maintain high ethical and sustainability standards
• Quality Control & Logistics: Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery,
manage importing, customs processes, and help with quality control where applicable.
• Tender Management: Oversee customer tenders and ensure the Sales & Marketing team is
equipped with relevant pricing, data, and product insights.
• Order Management: Manage all associated admin via our order processing system, ensuring
accuracy and documentation compliance. Ensure that a full written documentation trail is
available, in accordance with company requirements.
• Cross-departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Demand Planner & Operations
Director to meet stock availability and delivery targets.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Regularly research and engage with new suppliers to drive
continuous improvement in cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery.
• Customer Understanding: Deepen your understanding of our customers’ brands and their
requirements

Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years in a buying role (preferably in the food industry) with a proven track record of
success in sourcing, negotiating, and supplier management.
• ‘Can-do’ attitude and positive approach to problem solving
• Tenacious with a strong determination to succeed
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of international shipping, duties and delivery processes would be beneficial
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong IT skills and equally confident with spreadsheets
• French or Spanish beneficial but not a requirement
