The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our Smart Metering team. Your main responsibility will be to contact commercial clients and schedule appointments for smart meter installations, maintenance, and exchanges. You’ll work closely with engineers and other internal teams to ensure appointments are optimally scheduled based on customer needs, location, and engineer availability.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Booking smart meter appointments with commercial customers via phone and email

  • Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound communications professionally and efficiently

  • Scheduling work into engineers' diaries, taking into account travel time, location, and skillset

  • Handling short-notice and emergency appointments when required

  • Collaborating with internal departments and external contacts to resolve scheduling issues

  • Meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and team KPIs

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth customer journeys

  • Supporting team members and contributing to a positive, productive team environment


What We're Looking For

  • Up to 2 years’ experience in a scheduling, coordination, or customer support role (desirable but not essential)

  • Knowledge of Meter Operators (MOPs) or smart metering is a plus

  • Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities

  • Confident using computers, email, and scheduling systems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

  • A proactive, organised approach with great attention to detail
