Property Facilities Manager
Reigate, Surrey | £35,000 | Full-time, 37.5 hours
Our client, a small and friendly property management company, is looking for a Property Facilities Manager to join their team, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
You'll take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance across a varied portfolio of predominantly commercial property across Surrey, Kent and the surrounding areas, with support from a Facilities Administrator handling diary management for health and safety and risk assessment work.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being the person contractors, tenants and clients turn to when something needs sorting.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining processes and records for client properties relating to property maintenance.
- Managing databases for cyclical maintenance and property compliance records.
- Identifying and reviewing new contractors, and assisting with tendering, quotations and contractor invoicing.
- Responding to tenant calls, emails and direct contact, identifying and procuring maintenance and repair work.
- Attending client properties for regular inspection.
- Preparing annual service charge budgets for each property and forecasting to year end.
- Planning and implementing contract and cyclical works.
- Monitoring maintenance budget spending.
- Working cooperatively with the wider team, including fielding enquiries and occasional out-of-hours work.
What we're looking for
- Relevant work experience and a willingness to develop new skills - health and safety qualifications are a benefit but not essential.
- Good people-handling skills, particularly with clients, tenants and contractors.
- Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and good general IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- A team player who works well within a small, friendly team.
What's in it for you
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and time off at Christmas.
- Potential for 1 day a week working from home (available after an initial period, subject to a suitable home working environment being in place).
- A small, friendly team where you'll have real ownership of your portfolio.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today, or get in touch for a confidential chat about the role.
