Office/Accounts Administrator

Chessington, Surrey

Up to £30k

Hybrid working available.

Our lovely client in Chessington is seeking an Office/Accounts Administrator to join their team.  The role is brand new and the right person will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager as well as the wider commercial team.

The ideal candidate for the role is a flexible problem solver with superb communication skills and detail-oriented mindset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure general management of the office, overseeing operational efficiency.
  • Act as primary liaison between the company, staff, and office building management, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests
  • Warmly greet visitors; answer and direct phone calls promptly
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, such as generating and distributing memos, letters, spreadsheets, forms, and faxes; and sorting and distributing incoming mail
  • Dealing with customer queries and correspondence
  • Administrative support to the commercial and sales teams.
  • Supporting with all aspects of the finance department administrative tasks
  • Assisting with purchase ledger, customer invoice production, credit control. 
  • Daily multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Updating various systems and spreadsheets whilst maintaining accurate records

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven administrative experience
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Ideally knowledge of Sage Line 50 but training provided
