A highly regarded firm in Dorking is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy and successful conveyancing department.
The ideal candidate will be a bright and efficient Paralegal or Legal Secretary. You will be working alongside and supporting two fee earners, including a Partner, at the firm, ensuring the smooth running of the conveyancing department.
Your duties will include audio typing, answering the telephone and dealing with clients, and preparing a range of conveyancing documents. You will ideally have a proven track record of dealing with the following:
- Opening files and preparing initial paperwork for clients.
- Ordering Land Registry documents and preparing contract packs to be sent to a buyer’s solicitor.
- Ordering searches and forwarding to the fee earners.
- Submitting registration applications to Land Registry.
An approachable nature and great attention to detail are also essential characteristics, and you must enjoy working as part of a team.
