We are working with our fab client based in Leatherhead on this exciting new legal role which would be a perfect first step for a law graduate (ideally) or someone seeking their next challenge in this field. 

Our client is seeking a pro-active Legal Assistant to join its successful business to support the day-to-day activities of our Legal team.   You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the wider legal team with administrative work
  • Managing the pre-instruction and post-completion process
  • Liaising with Customers to ensure they are fully supported and informed on the progress of legal transactions
  • Managing incoming and outcoming engrossments

Key responsibilities:


  • Liaising with internal and external clients
  • Reviewing and reporting on title documents
  • Submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) applications
  • Submitting Land Registry applications
  • Undertaking searches at Land Registry
  • Attending and minuting client meetings
  • Preparing documents and packs ahead of meetings
  • Managing databases and filing systems
  • Supporting the team and Business Operations Director with adhoc duties

Person specification:

  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and a high level of trustworthiness
  • A fast and eager learner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A time manager, with a natural ability to plan and organise to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Ability to deal with all levels within an organisation, both internally and externally
  • A self-motivated, self-starter
  • Law degree, or equivalent (desirable, but not necessary)
