Lead Sustainability Consultant

Redhill, Surrey (office-based, some remote flexibility)  |  Competitive, dependent on experience  |  Full-time

We're recruiting for a Lead Sustainability Consultant to join a growing Sustainability Division within an established energy and sustainability consultancy, working with commercial and industrial clients across the UK, Europe and globally.

You'll take a leading role on client projects — from initial GHG footprint creation through to net-zero pathway development and reporting — acting as a key point of contact for clients while helping guide the wider team's approach to strategy, analytical and operational work across energy and carbon reduction.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the delivery of sustainability consultancy projects for a portfolio of commercial and industrial clients, managing multiple workstreams at once.
• Act as a key client contact, holding regular meetings (face to face and online) and building strong, lasting relationships.
• Support and share technical expertise with junior team members.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Sustainability Division, working alongside colleagues nationally and internationally.
• Help identify new client service opportunities and support business development activity.
• Remain abreast of new energy and carbon legislation affecting client services, e.g. ESOS, SECR Carbon Reporting, and government financial incentives.

What we're looking for

• 2-3 years' experience in a sustainability-related role.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead client meetings and presentations.
• Proven experience managing and delivering projects, ideally across multiple clients at once.
• Highly numerate, with strong report-writing and analytical skills.
• A genuine passion for sustainability and energy.
