Finance Officer
Salary: c.£35,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week
Location: Dorking, Surrey

We’re looking for a Finance Officer to become a key part of our busy accounts department. You’ll support the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial operations, handle a wide range of accounting tasks, and help keep our property and leasehold systems running smoothly. As you grow in the role, you'll have opportunities to expand your responsibilities and provide cover within the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing invoices, payments and cash receipts
- Service charge and ground rent collection, including arrears
- Managing and maintaining our property and leasehold database
- Bank reconciliations and preparing service charge year-end reporting
- Setting up lease schedules and budgets
- General accounts admin and supporting colleagues across the business
- Using industry-specific software (training provided)
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel; experience with Xero or QuickBooks is a bonus
- A solid understanding of service charge processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work
- Integrity, honesty, and a strong awareness of data privacy
- A proactive, numerate mindset with a genuine enjoyment of teamwork
- A willingness to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
- Confident communicator, comfortable working across departments
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and core accounting principles
