Our client is on the hunt for a Permanent Finance Assistant to join their close-knit team and bring their financial processes to the next level.
What’s the role all about?
As a *Finance Assistant*, you’ll be the go-to person managing day-to-day finance activities — from raising invoices in Xero to handling credit control and supplier payments. This role is perfect for someone organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work directly with one of the company directors, enjoying real autonomy once trained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Raising and sending customer invoices using *Xero*
- Uploading and processing supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Submitting invoices through portals such as *SAP Ariba* or *Coupa*, and tracking payment status
- Managing credit control activities like sending statements and chasing overdue accounts
- Reconciling payments and receipts across different ledgers
- Cross-referencing data within *HubSpot* and *WooCommerce* to resolve billing queries
- Keeping financial records accurate and supporting other administrative tasks
Who are we looking for?
While previous finance experience is beneficial, full training will be provided, so don’t worry if you’re still gaining experience.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
- Experience in sales and purchase ledger - raising invoices
- Be self-sufficient and confident managing their workload
- Be familiar with *Excel* and online accounting systems such as *Xero*
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
- Be reliable, organised, and enjoy working within established routines and processes
Advantageous:
- Experience with *HubSpot*, *WooCommerce*, or invoice portals like *SAP Ariba* or *Coupa*
What’s on offer?
This is a *full-time* role offering a salary that’s negotiable, depending on your experience. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements available after the initial training period.
