Are you analytical, detail-driven, and looking to build or progress your career in the energy sector? We’re looking for an Energy Operations Specialist to join our growing Energy Operations BPO Team, supporting a portfolio of gas (IGT) and electricity (IDNO) clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the UK energy industry, gaining exposure to billing, data management, regulatory reporting, and operational processes, all while being supported by experienced sector experts in a collaborative and friendly team.


🔹 About the Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality back-office services to our business customers, ensuring industry obligations, service levels, and timelines are met. Your work will directly support our customers’ compliance, billing accuracy, and operational performance.

You’ll typically work hybrid, with around 2 days per week in our Redhill office (usually Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday). Full-time office attendance may be required during induction and training, which will be agreed in advance.


🔹 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing day-to-day operational activities to strict SLAs

  • Liaising professionally with business customers, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Supporting monthly electricity and gas billing (Half Hourly and Non-Half Hourly)

  • Pre-invoice checks, tariff validation, and identifying missing or inaccurate consumption data

  • Maintaining and validating industry data to ensure accurate month-end billing

  • Producing monthly performance and regulatory reports, with clear analysis and insight

  • Investigating and resolving billing issues and reconciliations

  • Supporting system testing, process improvements, and change initiatives

  • Assisting with wider back-office operational activities as required


🔹 What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an analytical or process-driven role (utilities experience preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills

  • Confident communicator, able to liaise professionally with business customers

  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and sees issues through to resolution

  • Well organised, methodical, and able to manage competing priorities

  • Comfortable working with data and identifying anomalies

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • A team player with a positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach

Desirable:

  • Experience in the utilities sector (gas or electricity)

  • Metering or supplier-agent background
