Legal Contracts/Commercial Analyst

Salary - c.£23000 - £35000 (DOE) + benefits, training and career opportunities
Location - Crawley / Gatwick area (rail station within short walking distance & parking available though currently based working at home due to Covid-19)

A market leading Energy & Utilities technology & data services business want to welcome an LPC (Legal Practice Course) qualified, early career professional to join their established commercial contracts team as a Legal Contracts/Commercial Analyst.

This role represents a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an early career legal professional with an LPC qualification and 1+ years professional experience to develop a more commercial business career.  In-house B2B legal contracts review, analysis, drafting, negotiation and wider commercial activity make this role a key part of an innovative and hugely successful technology business. Extensive in-house training, development and support will be offered

The Legal Contracts/Commercial team are central to the business operation and work in close support and advise key business stakeholders; directors, senior management and sales departments, taking the lead on all contractual matters covering:

• New business customer sales - contractual T&C's review, negotiation, drafting and amendment at tender/proposal and renewal stages
• Strategic supplier (procurement) - contractual review, negotiation, drafting and through life SLA management
• Wider business commercial administration, project work, defining and implementing commercial process, governance, regulatory policy

Key qualification & experienced required for Legal Contracts/Commercial Analyst application:

• LPC (Legal Practice Course) qualified & LLB or other degree at 2:1 or above
• Ideally 1+years professional experience (ideally related to contracts / B2B legal administration but also within wider commercial administration)
• Analytical and inquisitive in approach, with confident and accurate written and verbal communication skills to communicate and advise on contractual issues at all levels.

• Excellent attention to detail with an interest to apply legal expertise to commercial B2B contractual T&C’s review & negotiation to ensure contracts are risk mitigated, commercially advantageous and mutually agreeable.
• A genuine interest to become a specialist in all matters commercial & legal contracts, and to be subject matter expert to internal stakeholder groups in a commercial business setting rather than a traditional legal practice route.
