Our wonderful client in Dorking are seeking a Buying and Admin Assistant to join them in their busiest time.

This is a 3 month contract, starting asap until the end of December.

This is a fun and varied role and the client offers a great working environment. This is an entry level role where you will provide administrative support to the Buying & Merchandising team. You will be responsible for all administrative duties related to the buying and merchandising functions. Reporting to the MenKind Gifts Buyer. This is a key role within the team and will expose the candidate to all elements of the buying and merchandising functions. 

 Buying 

  • Your main buying duty will be managing all admin aspects of the Dropship digital programme–stock management, product amendments and maintaining accuracy
  • Online comparative shops for the dropship range and report back to buying team
  • Set up new products on orderwise from information provided by the buying team on rangeplans/new line forms
  • Ensure sufficient information is provided on new line forms and chase missing data(dimensions, images, copy, etc)

Merchandising 

  • Your main duty will be raising and chasing orders for stock
  • Deputise for the 1st Buying and Admin assistant in their absence
  • Work closely with the Warehouse to resolve any inbound / outbound issues that may arise
  • Data sweeps to catch missing data and rectify

Key Skills 

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 
  • Great attention to detail 
  • Proactive, flexible and have a positive attitude 
  • Experience with excel is preferred 
  • Retail experience preferable but not required
