Business Development Manager  

Salary:                    Basic 45-50k plus uncapped commission (avg £15,000 OTE)

Location:                 Remote working – must be able to commute to offices in either Bristol, Horley or Blackpool when required.

 

Our fantastic client who is a leader in their field is looking to recruit TWO Business Development Managers to be part of a new team within the organisation.   

This role would suit someone with previous Sales and Business Development experience who is driven, pro-active and wants to make a real difference in a supportive and collaborative business.

You will need to be target-driven and have previous sales experience.   Experience in the energy sector would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Proactively identify and target new clients through market research, networking, cold outreach and strategic prospecting.
  • Identify, engage and secure new business opportunities in target markets.
  • This role is focused on generating leads, building relationships from scratch and closing new clients to drive revenue growth.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the company’s strategy through excellent knowledge of market, product, competitor and customer developments.
  • Provide regular feedback on market conditions, competitor activities and progress towards business objectives
  • Lead commercial negotiations and develop strategic commercial relationships with organisations critical to growth and success.
  • Build and maintain a robust weighted pipeline of qualified leads and make recommendations on developments and/or investments required to maximise conversion and revenue.
  • Prepare monthly market and sales activity updates to be presented during team meetings.
  • Deliver against set targets and KPIs.
  • Participate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do; use work equipment provided safely and co-operate with managers to provide safe systems of work.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.
