Role Description:

Rotation of 4 days on and 4 days off, then 4 nights on then 4 days off. 

Day shift: 7am-7pm

Night shift: 7pm-7am 

An office-based role in Dorking covering 24/7*365 and staffed initially by two engineers per shift with the possibility of escalating to other members of the group if expertise is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the customer within SLA targets.

  • Updating client documentation.

  • Monitoring and managing tickets.

  • Back up and disaster recovery.

Experience required:

  • Excellent knowledge of;

- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above 

- Hypervisors Hyper-V 2012 R2 and above & VMware vSphere 5.0 and above in an enterprise environment.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and above

- Troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs.

- Citrix Presentation/XenApp Server

- SQL Server 2008 and above

- iSCSI/Fibre channel Storage Area Networks, such as EMC

- PowerShell

- Microsoft Windows 7 and above

  • Should have strong technical experience / expertise with backup software’s

  • Experience of patch management deployment/Windows Software Update Services

  • Understanding of VOIP

  • Experience in Storage Consolidation, Backup and Recovery and Disaster Recovery

  • MCSE/MCITP: Enterprise Administrator or Server Administrator/VCP or equivalent ITQualifications an advantage

  • Experience in installing, configuring and managing switches and routers.
