About the team
IT & Networks is within the Technology team. The IT & Networks Support Manager has a team of 3 (inc this role) to ensure IT hardware and networks are maintained effectively across the Group. It is a very busy team.

Responsibilities
|
- Provide emergency support for the near real-time data collection service.
- Check regular windows updates on PCs where automatic updates are not viable.
- Maintain our procedures and policies to achieve and maintain Cyber Essentials accreditation. Maintain our procedures and policies to achieve and maintain ISO27001 accreditation.
- Maintain Asset Register, including warranty check on all hardware.
- Maintain software licenses
- Regular tape backup for Operations including servers and desktops.
- Maintain a backup log from the daily backups
- Keep a record of Audit logs on servers, Regular disk check on database servers for
- Disaster Recovery backup on a server in Gateway house.
- Organise and maintain server rooms to a high standard.
- Be part of the team providing 24/7 support to the company IT infrastructure through a rota system (not currently required, but may be required in future).
- Participate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge. Adhere to all Stark policies, procedures and working practices.
- Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do; use work equipment provided safely and co-operate with managers to provide safe systems of work.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.

Skills/Experience
|
- Experience in 1st line IT and network support and associated administration
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Keep up to date with advances in business area, new methods and ways of working. Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Confident and accurate use of departmental computer systems/databases.
